A Massey playwright has been awarded for her efforts to expose what happens when Māori and Pākehā worlds collide.
Rawinia Parata, of Ngāti Porou and Ngāi Tahu, has been recognised with a Playmarket Brown Ink award for her debut full-length play Our Side of the Fence.
The award is given to Māori and Pasifika writers considered to have submitted the best new and original scripts each year.
