The Audience and Insight Directorate leads the design and delivery of exceptional experiences for our visitors. It takes an integrated approach to how Te Papa connects people, taonga and stories in order to achieve a sense of wonder, belonging and purpose. Our museological practice is led by Te Tiriti o Waitangi and pushes the edges of what we know and what we do.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Public Programming to lead the development and delivery of public programmes that use Te Papa's collections, exhibitions, and research, intellectual, cultural, scientific and physical resources to engage learners of all ages. This position provides dynamic and strategic leadership to activate Te Papa's rich collections and experiences in innovative ways that extend Te Papa beyond its physical walls to our external communities. Managing a hardworking, creative and values-driven team, you will continue to build on our community-based approach to partnering, collaborating and co-creating with community and iwi partners to create meaningful experiences through Te Papa
