Tangata Whenua Social Workers Association Membership

The Association recognises that tangata whenua are the indigenous peoples of Aotearoa New Zealand and therefore this status must always guide the lens through which social and community work are viewed both as professions and as scopes of practice. 

It is also hoped that the Association will act as a forum to bring tangata whenua social and community workers together, to utilise collective knowledge and skills to maintain the kaupapa in national, regional and global arenas and to pursue continued professional development as tangata whenua.
